About Heroes A TCG
What is a TCG?
TCG is short for Trading Card Game. Basically you collect little 'cards', trade them with other members and attempt to 'master' a set.
This TCG is based on the television show Heroes, so all of the cards and games will be Heroes-centric. The original idea for online tcgs came from Calico.
How do I get the cards?
Well there are lots of ways to get cards. When you join, you will recieve a Starter Pack containing at least 7 cards (4 random regular cards, 3 regular cards from your collecting set). If you're a good reader, you'll get a few extra.
You can also earn cards by playing the games. We will randomly give out freebies for various things/events.
Donations are always welcome. We are accepting donations for link buttons and level badges. If you dontate some, we will reward you with some cards. Head over to Donations to find more information on donating.
You will also get cards for leveling up and mastering sets.
What are the levels and what do I get?
The amount of cards you have determines what level you are. It goes by card worth. Each time you go up a level, you recieve a reward. But you must fill in the form.

How do I master a set and what do I get?
Well, to master a set, you must have collected all of the cards in that set. Once you have done that, fill in the form and you will get your reward, along with a specialized badge to display on your site.
- Normal Sets (worth 1) - 2 random cards and either 1 special card of choice or 2 normal cards of choice
- Special Sets (worth 2) - 2 normal cards of choice and 1 special card of choice
What do I need to play?
Well, you need a few things. First off, you need a trading post. This is a little website/webpage where you put all of your cards. You also need an email address so that you can contact people to trade with, and they can contact you. (And for us to send you pesky messages or your rewards). That's about it.
Now, in your trading post you should have
- your cards (labeled as to which you are collecting, keeping, & trading)
- a level badge showing what level you are
- a link back to here
- your trade log. This is very important. You must keep a detailed log as to where you got your cards. If you play a game and win some, I would like to know which game and on what day. That way I know who's cheating and who's not.
What if I have to take a break but I don't want to leave the tcg?
You have the chance of going on hiatus. Just let me know by either emailing me or sending in a form.
Now that that's over, how do I join?
Now that you've read what we're all about, why don't you head over to the rules and see how to join?
Wait, you play too, how is that fair?
Well, my main reason for creating this tcg was for me. I had been wanting to join one for a while but I hadn't seen an active one so Heroes A TCG was concieved. I toyed around with making it for a while, but the site didn't really come together until HoL released her new admin system for TCGs (TCGAdmin). So many thanks to her. Hopefully by using this system, I can keep this tcg open and active unlike my first tcg Coffee x3 which I handed over to the lovely Ana.
I play because I really made this tcg for me, yeah I can be selfish. :) Now, I am not going to cheat and play the games since I'm the one making them. However I will reward myself for working on the site. Many owners do that.
- Updating a Group of Games - 4 random normal, 1 random special
- Update 3 days in a row - 1 choice normal
- Making New sets - 1 random from that set
- Weekly Freebies and Update Freebies
By doing this, it will keep me interested in the tcg and become an incentive for me to update and make cards. If you don't find this fair, email me and we can talk about it. :)
And just so you know, I use a randomizer for all the cards I get (as well as the ones that are prizes in the games.)
